About Our Ministry

Fresh Wind Recovery is a residential ministry for men that are struggling with substance abuse and are ready for and actively seeking healing for their addictive lifestyle.

About Us

Fresh Wind Ministry has ordained minister’s and professionally trained counselors on staff daily. In addition, Fresh wind has been blessed with many gifted educators ranging from phD’s, current college professors, retired educators and many other talented volunteers that teach classes Monday -Friday 9:00am-2:00pm and Wed & Thur evenings for those re-entering the work force.

Fresh Winds ministries certainly uses the best of traditional recovery teachings accompanied by some of the worlds premiere Christian teachings on recovery, renewing of the mind and living a sober abundant life. Most importantly, all our teaching is wrapped in God’s Word and Christ’s love.

Their recovery will include:

  • Much worship time including praise, testimonies and biblical messages.
  • Teaching on how to hear from God and how to receive healing prayer for their brokenness
  • Regular worship time including testimonies and a message
  • Teaching about healing from addictions including (but not limited to):
  • Freedom from Addiction by Mike Quarles & Neil Anderson
  • Heart of Addiction by Mark E. Shaw
  • Crash the Chatter Box by Steven Furtick
  • Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson
  • Who Switched off My Brain by Dr. Carolyn Leaf
  • Not a Fan series by Rev. Kyle Idleman
  • Individual Healing Prayer Sessions for the deep hurts that are driving them to medicate

Fresh Wind differentiates itself from other recovery programs in a number of ways
While recovery from addiction serves as the primary focus of the program, we recognize that the addiction itself is a symptom of a much deeper hurt. We explore and address the root cause of the problem through individual counseling, prophetic prayer, a unique Christ-centered curriculum, and the Celebrate Recovery program, & weekly church services including baptisms when appropriate.

Helped Over 300 Men

Since its inception in the Summer of 2017, Fresh Winds has helped over 200 men find healing from their addiction. At present, we are able to serve 30+ men with our current facilities and resources.

The Biblical Approach.
A study published in Substance Abuse & Misuse stated that 75 percent of participants in a faith-based rehab program found that religious faith and spirituality were useful components of their recovery. A 1996 survey by Georgetown University Medical Center found that 45 percent of participants in a religious treatment program could sustain their recovery from opiate addiction, versus only 5 percent of people who entered secular treatment programs.

Fresh Wind Recovery Ministry believes that all who truly want help for addiction should be able to receive it. People who have been enslaved by addiction often have little or no resources to get help. Because of the vision God has given us, whenever possible, we receive new clients believing that Christ will provide. In many cases, He provides through the men He heals as they go back into the workforce and begin to invest in themselves and re-paying the fees for Fresh Wind.

As of right now, Fresh Wind Ministry is completely volunteer staffed. We hope in the very near future to begin some paid positions but not at the detriment of the least, last, lost and addicted men God sends us.

It is our desire not to let money be the obstacle that prevents healing from addiction. Those who truly want help but can’t afford it should not be excluded.

Fresh Wind Recovery Ministry is a registered 501(c)3 domestic non-profit organization.
